Katie Palmer is a university trained Clinical Musculoskeletal Myotherapist who completed her qualifications in 2002 at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia. In 2010 Katie also completed her Master of Applied Science (Musculoskeletal Management) at RMIT University. She is a registered member of the Myotherapy Association Australia (MAA).

Since 2002, Katie has worked with various highly respected leading multidisciplinary sports medicine practices in Melbourne and Hong Kong. Katie has worked extensively with: PGA golf professionals on the Australasian and European Tours; the Australian Football League, Melbourne Demons and St Kilda Saints; the National Basketball League; and the Australian Cricket Team. She also enjoys working with club golfers and athletes at both elite and amateur levels. Over the past 14 years since living and working in Hong Kong, Katie has worked with the Hong Kong Rugby Union and leading pain specialists. Katie has also been a regular guest speaker for various associations and clubs speaking on topics including posture, performance and specific injury rehabilitation.

Katie’s main professional interests are the varied methods of diagnosing and treating sports and recreational injuries as well as occupational overuse injuries. Her specialities include neck, shoulder, elbow, Temperomandibular Joint Dysfunctions (TMJ), back and hip pain. Katie has also extensive experience with pre and post partum women. Since completing her Masters, Katie has had a special interest in chronic pain and headaches.

As a working mum, Katie believes that a balance of work, family and fitness is imperative for a healthy lifestyle.
