Liam Dirckze

Myotherapist

Liam graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy. In addition to this, he has also completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage and engaged in Sports Therapy studies.

Liam recognises the importance of self-care, and how our work and lifestyle commitments can alter the body and our general wellbeing. Liam’s goal is to discover where the underlying issue resides, through subjective and objective analysis, as well as assessment protocols that will aid in developing a treatment plan. This allows Liam to determine the steps needed to ultimately resolve the issue and collaborate with his patients to ensure their treatment is suitable.

He has a true passion for the industry and how Myotherapy can allow clients to better themselves, through the relationship of manual treatment in many different forms, corrective exercise, and take-home knowledge to benefit the client. Liam understands the necessity of take-home advice and finds it crucial that the client is properly educated to equip them with the tools to help set them on the right path to progress.

Some forms of treatment that Liam practices are: Myofascial Release Technique, Trigger Point Techniques, Myofascial Dry Needling, Cupping and Neurodynamic treatments, to name a few.

Along with his work at our practice, Liam applies his trade at the Collingwood Football Club within their AFL, VFL, and AFLW programmes, playing a key role in the health, wellbeing, and maintenance of these athletes. Prior to this he has worked with an array of elite sporting clubs including Melbourne Victory FC, Melbourne Storm and Melbourne Rebels.

Liam enjoys sports of all kinds, going to the gym, and leading an overall healthy lifestyle. Other interests include travelling and socialising with friends and family.
